Profane Language Policy

At Schoolhouse, we value open communication and encourage members to express themselves freely. However, it is essential to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone. This includes being mindful of the language we use in conversations, both inside and outside of sessions.

Profane language, offensive slurs, and inappropriate remarks are strictly prohibited. This includes all written communication and any content that may be considered offensive, disrespectful, or harmful towards others. Such language creates a negative atmosphere and goes against the Schoolhouse principles of fostering a positive and inclusive community.

How Do I Know What’s Appropriate?

When deciding if a word or phrase is appropriate, consider whether your words would be suitable in a classroom setting.

Would you be comfortable with speaking like this in front of the principal of your school?
How about your parents?

If it’s not appropriate for an educational environment with adult supervision, it’s safe to assume that it’s not appropriate for Schoolhouse. This ensures that our community remains a space where individuals of all ages and backgrounds feel comfortable participating.

What if I Slip Up?

We understand that mistakes happen, and occasionally, profane language may be used unintentionally. In such cases, we understand that mistakes happen, and appreciate you correcting yourself or editing your message if you can.
