Which activities can I manually log volunteer hours for?

Volunteer hours for the following activities can be logged manually:

1. Preparing for sessions


To submit volunteer hours for time spent preparing for sessions, please follow the guidelines included in this FAQ.
Volunteer hours for session prep can only be submitted after the session has been hosted.
If you're unable to see your session in the "Relevant Session" drop down in the modal, it could be because of these reasons.

2. Participation on official volunteer teams


Your work on official volunteer teams is eligible for volunteer hours. To view a list of volunteer teams, check out the Volunteer Hub. Details on which activities can be tracked for each team are available when you click on “Add new Activity” on the Volunteer Hours Tracker.

In the following example, you can see a list of activities that are OK/not OK to track if you're a volunteer of the Certifications Team:




3. Other


Under extraordinary circumstances, you can log hours under the category "Other" in the modal IF you have permission from a product team member to do so. Please do not log ineligible activities under this category.

Manually submitted volunteer hours can take up to 30 days to be reviewed. At times, it may take longer due to backlogs. If it has been a substantial amount of time since you submitted your hours, please to reach out to someone on the Tutor Operations team to help you out.
